Refunds and Returns

By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Warranty Coverage Our warranty applies only to parts/components we provide in the repair process. It excludes all other parts of the product supplied by the customer, including any parts the customer requests us to install. This warranty solely covers faulty parts/components provided by Privacy First for the repair, and does not extend to the entire device or software issues. If the device is functional upon repair completion, subsequent issues with unrelated parts of the device are not covered under warranty.
  • Water Damage: Any signs of water damage (such as corrosion, rust, or water indicators) will void the warranty.
  • Post-Repair Physical Damage: If there are any signs of physical damage after repair—including, but not limited to, cracks, a bent frame, a cracked screen protector, or general misuse—the warranty will be void.
  • Bent Frame: If the device frame is bent, even slightly, Privacy First cannot guarantee the repaired device’s functionality. Warranty coverage will not apply if a bent frame is found to be the cause of any subsequent damage.
  • Screen Lifting Due to Frame Issues: If the screen is lifting or becomes damaged as a result of a bent frame, the warranty will not cover the issue.
  • Third-Party Interventions: All warranty coverage will be void if the device is opened, inspected, or repaired by any other repair service after Privacy First has completed repairs, regardless of the other repair provider’s authorization status.
2. Indirect Damage If Privacy First’s repair inadvertently causes issues with other components, we are not liable if the issue could be due to the customer’s use. Examples include battery swelling from temperature exposure or moisture. In such cases, Privacy First may offer to replace the affected component at cost price, excluding labour charges. 3. Aesthetic Changes Due to Repair Some repairs may require minor modifications to device aesthetics, which do not qualify as warranty issues unless they are significant. This may include necessary adjustments like bending iPad corners for screen placement. Regularly organize team activities to enhance the connection between employees. 4. Warranty Duration Warranty is valid for six months from the date of initial repair and does not reset with subsequent warranty claims or additional repairs. 5. Diagnostic and Other Fees Diagnostic fees or booking fees, including any fees for part orders or insurance forms, are non-refundable. 6. Parts and Labor Privacy First may use new or refurbished parts with equivalent performance and reliability. Replaced parts become the property of Privacy First, which retains rights to them, unless legally obligated to return them to you, in which case, you agree to cover replacement costs. 7. Service Options Privacy First reserves the right to change available service options as permitted by law. 8. Water Damage Treatment Water-damaged devices treated by Privacy First do not carry a warranty. The water treatment fee is non-refundable, and Privacy First disclaims responsibility for any further damage caused by exposure to water post-treatment. 9. Inaccessible Devices If a device cannot be fully accessed due to missing security details or disabled touch functionality, Privacy First cannot guarantee the repair quality or subsequent device performance. 10. No Refunds Post-Repair Once the repair is complete and the repair form is signed, no refunds will be issued, including for any parts used. 11. Water-Resistant Devices Devices originally marketed as “water-resistant” may lose this resistance after repair. Privacy First is not liable for any damage from water exposure after repair. 12. Data Responsibility Privacy First is not liable for data loss or compromise during the repair process. 13. Customer Disclosure If the problem is misrepresented or not fully disclosed by the customer, Privacy First is not liable for resulting damage. 14. Service Warranty Privacy First warrants service quality for six months from the initial repair date. For any non-conforming service or defective part provided during this time, Privacy First may, at its discretion, re-perform the service, repair/replace the part, or refund service fees. This warranty period is not extended by subsequent repairs. 15. Device Replacement in Case of Damage If Privacy First causes irreparable damage to the device, they may offer a replacement with a device of similar value and specifications. The customer must pay the original repair cost and relinquish the damaged device. 16. Non-Functional Damage Compensation If Privacy First causes non-functional damage (e.g., Face ID, fingerprint sensor), Privacy First will offer the initial repair service free of charge if the customer agrees. If declined, Privacy First may provide a similar replacement device. Warranty Exclusions The six-month limited warranty will be void if:
  • Repairs are performed by another provider post-repair by Privacy First.
  • The product is damaged beyond fair wear and tear.
  • The product is misused or modified beyond standard operation.
  • Other parts of the product unrelated to Privacy First’s service fail and impact Privacy First’s repairs.
