What makes a phone private
No Google account at the centre
A normal Android phone runs Google Play Services with deep access to your location, contacts and activity, tied together by your Google account. GrapheneOS has no Google services built in and no account to sign in to.
Apps only see what you allow
Deny an app internet access entirely, and let it see only the contacts or files you choose. If you need a Google app, Google Play can run as an ordinary sandboxed app with no special access, or be left off completely.
A connection that doesn't lead back to you
Our privacy eSIMs are data-only: no ID check, no contract, no phone number and a private IP address. Add Mullvad VPN, which uses an account number instead of an email, and your browsing isn't tied to your name.
Messages only you can read
Threema is end-to-end encrypted and needs no phone number or email to sign up, so your conversations and your contact list stay yours.
No one else in control
No management server, no remote access and no subscription. The settings are enforced on the phone itself, and we keep no control over it once it's shipped.

The PF iOSecured is an iPhone 17 locked down with MDM-level controls enforced on the phone itself, with no MDM server, so no company, including us, can see, track or change it. What is a privacy phone?
A phone set up so your data isn't collected, tracked or tied to your identity: no built-in Google services, apps that only see what you allow, and a connection and messenger that don't need your name. Ours are a Google Pixel running GrapheneOS, or an iPhone 17 with hardened iOS settings.
What is the most private phone?
For privacy, a Google Pixel running GrapheneOS: it has no Google services or account built in and gives you control over what every app can access. If you'd rather keep iOS, our hardened iPhone runs Lockdown Mode and blocks AirDrop, computer pairing and Siri.
Private phone, privacy phone or de-Googled phone: what's the difference?
They overlap. A de-Googled phone has Google's services removed; a privacy phone goes further, with a no-ID eSIM, a VPN and an encrypted messenger, so the phone, the connection and your messages all stay private.
Is a privacy phone legal in Australia?
Yes. GrapheneOS and a hardened iPhone are legal to own and use in Australia, and so are privacy eSIMs, VPNs and encrypted messaging apps.
Can I still use banking and everyday apps?
Many apps work, and Google Play can be added in a sandbox with no special access. Some banking apps don't support GrapheneOS, so check yours first; see our guide to banking apps on GrapheneOS.
Do you ship outside Australia?
Yes. We ship worldwide from Australia; the UK and Europe usually take 4 to 8 days. We're unable to supply customers in New South Wales.
